By The Essence Of All Time

 Time has this funny, plastic quality and everything that goes around comes around. When you get on the bus, you think it won't be taking you far - across town, maybe, no further than that - and all at once, holy shit! You're halfway across the next continent. - Stephen King, Four Past Midnight.

I was looking through some of the pictures in my Facebook profile and it suddenly dawned on me some of these were taken many years ago. At least one picture was already 10 years old!

How fast time flies. My friends are married, some of them are parents now. I've lost some of the friends I made during my university days. A few people from my university class are dead. I've changed job once. Went from living with my brother to staying again at my childhood house. I've been single for a year (close to two years). My blog is now 5 years old (although I haven't posted anything in it for 3 years). On April this year, I will turn 28.

So many things happening these past few years and yet it still feels like that no time has passed at all. I still can't quite grasp the fact that I'm gonna be 28 in a couple of months. Wow. I'm pushing 30! How about that?!

I remember reading one article by an ustaz and he said that sometimes when we feel that time is moving fast that we're not actually aware of it is because we did not fill our time with meaningful activities. We did not work hard enough, we did not pray hard enough, we did not play hard enough. We just let life passes us by while we sit idly, we just go with the flow. 

I hope that this year I can change all that,becoming much more proactive, filling in my time with activities that are in line with my goals and values and working hard to ensure my dream of working in Norway comes true! =D
