Phew! It's been awhile since I wrote on this blog. Too many stuff that I wanted to write about, but not enough time. Busy with work and all.
Last Friday I was called for a meeting with my boss, along with two other senior staff in my department. Apparently there's going to be a restructure of some sort, whereby my department will no longer be under my current boss's watch. The department will now be under different management and we will be getting a new boss. This came as a huge surprise for me, and I think to a certain extent to the other two senior staff as well. The room was silent for a few moments after my boss dropped the news. I must say I didn't expect it at all.
The funny thing is, my boss said he did not know how to break the news to the other guys in our department. Haha. Well, since our department will he holding its annual 'makan-makan' event, I suggested that it to be doubled as a farewell party as well, and he can break the news to them during the event.
I hope everything will be going smoothly with this restructuring exercise and our department will come out stronger after this. Can't wait to see what the new boss is like! Haha. Wish me luck guys. =)
